It takes humanity quite a distance to put it all in one perspective.  Simply Wallpaper provides this 3000 x 3002 image with Antarctica, Africa and the Red Sea clearly in view.

The picture of ISS is from 2008.  The image accessed is 3072 x 2040 at 300 dpi.  You can find a number of free space photographs at Space Images, including a lower resolution copy of this picture.  I found a difficulty in attempting to access the home site of the higher resolution image posted here.

                                              Shuttle latched to Space Station

This picture was taken from the departing Soyuz space capsule.  The image is 1600 x 1067 and is posted at reddit.  The resolution isn't bad but it could be better.  These pictures recorded for history deserve sharp images.
