good morning Jessicca

spring saturday

The squirrel climbed the large barrel that was the old oak's trunk and sprawled out

on its first major limb.  He curled his spindly tail and viewed my interest warily so

I remained a safe distance.  Probably a youngster.  Squirrels are plentiful but territorial.

Age doesn't work in your favor when past your prime.  Once chased from your home

it's all downhill with no safe harbor for the infirm.  Only the local hawk or passing car

can remedy one's distress.  Mother Nature is benign only to those who earn it.
